13 Frequently Asked Questions About JA Bali Huts and Gazebos
A. Absolutely. All our products are made to Australian standards and can be engineered to suit cyclone rated areas where applicable.
A. You can choose your stain colour and the gazebo size. Standard sizes are 0.5m, ie 3x3m, 3×3.5m and so on, and the Colorbond roofing comes in all of the standard Colorbond colours.
A. Each Gazebo or Bali hut is measured from outside of beam to outside of beam. Then there’s an additional area where the roof overhangs. Multisided Gazebos are actually designed from point to point. So, the measurement of 3.5 meters is point to point.
A. All of our gazebos and Bali huts have a 10-year structural warranty, and 25-year warranty against rot and termites.
A. Yes, of course. You are able to choose your size, stain colour, post type and roof type. We can also customise your order by including decking or handrails.
A. Traditional Bali Thatch, Colorbond and Cedar Shingles.
A. The Bali thatch is a natural grass, so its lifespan will vary depending on the climate and conditions. For example, the thatch will last longer in dry conditions than damp, so it is difficult to give an exact figure. On average the thatch lasts approx. 8-10 years.
A. There are benefits to both; it depends on the purpose of the hut and also your personal preference. Bali thatch has a traditional tropical feel to it and suits pool areas perfectly; it keeps you cool under the hut, as the insulation from the grass drops the temperature by around ten degrees.
Colorbond is available in many different colours to match in with any home, has a more modern feel to it and will not be damaged by the weather. Colorbond, however, does not insulate as thatch does, but can be remedied by using a ply lining.
A. We have square or round posts, which are available in different lengths to suit your needs.
A. Our Gazebo and Bali hut kits are not hard to put up at all. It’s quite simple. All you have to do is follow the instructions and screw the kit together.
A. Most kits can be done in one to two days for someone who has limited skills. They are designed to be easy and pain-free to put up. Once again, if you need help, give us a call and we can talk you through it.
A. Of course, we can quote on supply and install for you, not a problem.
A. You can add timber decking, handrails and steps to your new gazebo to complete the look; just ask us for a quote on the extras when we are quoting your gazebo for you.
